Logistics Operations Manager - October 2026

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and proactive Operations Manager to lead our brand-new facility in the heart of the West Midlands. The role is responsible for operational performance, health & safety, quality compliance, cost control, continuous improvement and creating a positive high-performance culture.

36.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday to be agreed with line manager. Flexible hours required to support engagement with night shift operations.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead warehouse, inventory, pick & pack and dispatch operations.
  • Deliver customer OTIF performance and order accuracy.
  • Manage labour planning and resource utilisation.
  • Drive productivity, throughput and process improvements.
  • Lead Health & Safety compliance, audits, risk assessments and investigations.
  • Think with an open mindset to problem solve, remove risk to product integrity and remove operational risk
  • Control budgets, labour costs and operational expenditure.
  • Develop supervisors and warehouse teams through coaching and performance management.
  • Challenge efficiencies and inconsistencies.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy and effective stock control

 

The successful candidate’s profile:

Skills and experience:

  • Proven warehouse or logistics operations management experience.
  • Strong Health & Safety background (IOSH/NEBOSH desirable).
  • Experience within quality-controlled environments.
  • Strong understanding of WMS systems and KPI management.
  • Experience leading teams in fast-paced operational environments.
  • Budget and cost management experience.
  • Continuous improvement experience.
