Driver/Warehouse Operative

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Driver/Warehouse Operative at Grant Westfield, Prudhoe Depot, NE42 6NP, the company behind the UK’s leading bathroom panel brand, Multipanel. The successful candidate will provide an efficient, professional delivery and collection service to our customers, whilst undertaking efficient stock and distribution related duties which support the overall depot operation, ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety, and Road Traffic regulations. The role involves supporting warehouse operations during periods when not driving.

Working Pattern: 45 hours per week. (Mon-Fri)

Rate of Pay: £12 per hour

Delivery Driver:

• Ensure all goods scheduled for delivery are accurate
• Ensure the product is loaded accurately and handled with care to ensure it is stowed in perfect condition
• Ensure upon delivery the customer is satisfied with their order and proof of delivery is signed and retained on EPOD and/or hard copy
• Ensure that customer returns are checked & accompanied by signed returns
• Carry out visual daily checks on allocated vehicle to ensure roadworthiness and complete weekly vehicle check sheets
• Maintain all company standards, procedures and disciplines including adherence to Health and Safety, vehicle cleanliness, defect report and personal dress standard

Warehouse Operative:

• Picking and packing orders for dispatch
• Maintaining an accurate record of stock and carrying out stock counts, as required
• Moving stock around, either by hand, in accordance with manual handling procedure, or using lifting equipment
• Taking delivery of stock
• Operating in a safe manner complying with all Health, Safety and Environment requirements to ensure own and the safety of others

• Prior work experience as a Delivery Driver is essential
• Prior experience as a Warehouse Operative is desirable
• A Full UK driving licence
• A Counterbalance forklift truck licence and/or licence to drive assisted lift equipment
