Venesta Washroom Systems acquires the Intellectual Property Rights for Grant Westfield Commercial Contracts Division products.

Within the construction community, Grant Westfield’s Commercial Contracts Division became recognised as the hallmark of quality in the design, manufacture and installation of high end commercial washrooms. However, the prevailing Brexit headwinds and a sustained downturn in the construction industry meant fewer available commissions for commercial washrooms and fiercer competition for them. It is against that backdrop that in December 2017 Grant Westfield made the decision to withdraw from the Commercial Contracts and Washrooms market and to close their Commercial Contracting division.

Following this decision, Venesta and Grant Westfield are pleased to announce Venesta’s acquisition of the Intellectual Property Rights for Grant Westfield Commercial Contracts Division products.

Venesta has agreed a transition license for Grant Westfield to complete and deliver live orders to ensure there is a seamless handover for customers. All new enquiries for commercial washroom products will be directed to Venesta.

Martin Rees Executive Chairman Venesta commented:

“We are delighted to have been able to acquire from Grant Westfield Contracts Division a range of innovative products that complement and broaden the Venesta product offer. To ensure customers have continuity of supply, both sides have worked together with tremendous goodwill to complete the deal.”

Sarah McLean Managing Director of Grant Westfield commented:

“The largest proportion of Grant Westfield’s business is in the manufacture and distribution of the Multipanel® range of waterproof decorative panels for bathrooms and kitchens where we occupy the largest share of the market in the UK. That market represents a significant opportunity for accelerated and sustainable growth. Following a strategic review, Grant Westfield decided that Venesta, the UKs leading washroom provider, which has extensive technical and manufacturing resources is best placed to continue to supply the high-end products previously offered by our Commercial Contracts Division.

Beyond today’s announcement, Grant Westfield’s commitment to developing and investing in new products, processes and in our people remains our central focus. Our business has evolved and grown over the past 135 years, and we will continue to demonstrate our adeptness in adapting to market conditions and in creating the products our customers need.”
