Grant Westfield, the company behind the UK’s best-selling brand of waterproof wall panels, Multipanel and Naturepanel, has two exciting opportunities for Business Development Managers to join our South Sales team.

Managing the sales in your territory you will develop business with an existing client base ensuring focus is on those customer outlets that are delivering or can deliver higher levels of sales.

Additionally, you will be responsible for building and maintaining key customer relationships, identifying business opportunities, negotiating, and closing business deals whilst maintaining extensive knowledge of our current market conditions.

Key Responsibilities

  1. New Business Development

 

  • Develop new customers by growing, maintaining, and leveraging your network.
  • Identify key contacts, and the decision makers within the customer organisation.
  • Research and build relationships with existing clients.
  • Participate in pricing solutions/service.
  • Handle objections by clarifying, emphasising agreements, and working through differences to a positive conclusion.
  1. Client Retention

 

  • Present new products and services and enhance existing relationships.
  • Work with technical staff and other internal colleagues to meet customer needs.
  • Arrange and participate in internal and external client debriefs.
  1. Business Development Planning

 

  • Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in sales.
  • Use knowledge of the market and competitors, identify, and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators.
  1. Management and Research

 

  • Submit weekly progress reports and ensure data is accurate.
  • Forecast and meet sales targets.
  • Track and record activity on accounts and help to close deals to meet your targets.

The successful candidate’s profile:

  • Experience in a field sales role would be advantageous but not essential..
  • Experience of working within the manufacturing sector and knowledge of our product would be advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills and an ability to work well in a team
  • Good punctuation, spelling, and grammar skills
  • Flexibility and the ability to respond effectively to changing circumstances, adjusting priorities when necessary
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage your own workload
  • An effective problem solver with the ability to analyse and recommend suitable solutions
